4 Months to 2025: Time to Get Serious!

It’s almost the end of 2024, and things are getting real. I’m juggling a lot these days—work, projects, learning, and a bit of fun. And to be honest, it’s exhausting. Not because of the workload but because of constantly jumping from one thing to another. I need some structure. If you’re working a 9-to-5 and also have personal projects, this might help you too. Here’s how I’m planning to tackle the last quarter of 2024 and keep my sanity intact.

My Daily Grind

I thought about assigning days to tasks instead of splitting hours each day. Switching from one task to another can be a real headache. Here’s my current setup:

  • 10 hours a day, 2 days off (Friday and Saturday)
  • Freelance project: I have a permanent client.
  • Stock trading: Learning and planning to invest $1000 wisely.
  • Portfolio building: Crucial for getting gigs and showcasing my skills.
  • Creating online gigs: For platforms like Fiverr.
  • Building Vertiem: Onboarding a collaborative team.
  • Engagement through short videos and blogs: Sharing my journey and learning.
  • Watching The Big Bang Theory: Gotta unwind somehow!

Goals Before 2025

I’m not sure where this year will end, but aside from work, I have some personal goals:

  1. Get my driving license.
  2. Visit 5 new places.
  3. Think about a startup idea or at least plan something.

The Tools

I’m keeping it simple—just using Google Calendar. I’ll set up tasks and put them on repeat. This way, it becomes easier to follow through. I also need to keep slots open for consultancy, which I already manage through Google Calendar.

Day Management

From Sunday to Thursday, I’m free by 18:00, giving me 6 hours for personal work. Fridays and Saturdays are off, so that’s when I really dive deep into personal projects.

Freelance Projects

Usually, I work on them during weekends. If Friday is off, I’ll work Thursday night. Depending on the complexity, it might change, but Friday is the main day. If something important comes up during weekdays, I’ll deal with it then.

Stock Trading

I started trading a month ago—made a 35% profit in one week and lost it all the next due to greed. Lesson learned. Now, I plan to restart with $1000. Since the stock market is closed from Friday to Sunday, I have time to study charts and plan long positions. For instant news, my friend will keep me updated. This way, I won’t be glued to my phone all the time, reducing distractions.

Building My Portfolio

This is crucial. To get gigs and work with awesome people, I need to showcase my work to the right audience. The first week is dedicated to this—making the portfolio look good, showing off my projects, and maybe even leveraging some open-source work.

Gigs

I’ve dabbled in Fiverr, but a solid portfolio is key. Each week, I’ll focus on one task. Sunday and Monday are for planning what that task will be.

Blogging

I’ll write a blog every week about my progress, what I achieved, and what needs to move to the next week.

Reels and TikTok

Social media is huge for building an audience and sharing knowledge. I’m not familiar with monetization yet, so I won’t focus on that. I’m new to social media and not keen on sharing personal photos. But I’ve found creators who do great voiceovers, and I plan to learn and try it.

Vertiem

Vertiem is a collaborative space for like-minded individuals. Great things aren’t achieved alone. I’ve got a few people on board, and we’ve got plans. I’ll keep it short here for now, but every day, we’re working towards something bigger.

That’s the plan for now. It’s not perfect, but it’s a start. Here’s to the last quarter of 2024—let’s make it count!
